Wait Until Tomorrow.

Title has nothing to do with the post.  Just my randomness.  (Or not so randomness?).. I’m listening to the song right now.
I’m so delerious.  As if you couldn’t tell by my rambling on about nothing just now.
Whooooooo!

Anyhow, I GOT THE FIRST DAY OF COLLEGE THING DOWN AND OUT!.. I did it! 
It was scary, and my hands were sweating on the long drive there.. but I survived.  BARELY.  (The heat was brutal.)  I seriously thought SJA’s campus was large.  WHATTTEVERRR.  Walking LSU’s campus in possibly (probably) the nastiest, most rechid weather ever bites.  Huge.
I had English, Math and Biology today.  All three of the teachers pleasantly surprised me.  Also, they’re all so different it scares me.  I mean.. it WAS the first day, so I can’t jump to conclusions as to if I’ll love them yet, but thus far.. they’re on my good side.  Congratulations to them.
Now the whole day wasn’t all just perks, don’t get me wrong.  I did have a couple moments where I needed to inhale and exhale three times slowly to not stress myself out.  It’s just a big change.  ie…Who ever heard of having to schedule yourself to go take a test.  Call me old fashion, but I would rather not stress about that, and just go in my classroom at a certain DEMANDED time and take the dang thing. Gosh.  People are making things so difficult these days.  It’s a cryin’ shame.
Tomorrow I have Political Science and History.  I’ll let you know how it goes.
AND OH YEAH!  No more dressing cute.  T shirt, shorts.. tennis shoes. HOLLA!

I’ll leave you here now, and go back to listening to Wait Until Tomorrow.  Cool.

It’s official. Just for the record.

For all those people who doubted that Comfortable DID win the great race, here’s your proof.
He just didn’t play it.  Stupid Woodlands Pavillion people told him to HURRY for curfew?  Who does that?
I was so close.  It was in such a healthy grasp.  I knew I should’ve asked him to make sure and play it before the show.  Maybe next time.  Yeah?..

A post nothing to do about JM.

No talk of JM..can you believe it?!? Yay me.

Today was a swell day.
Nothing too spectacular happened.
I went to work at 9.  Did the whole 9-5 thing.  Worked it out while I was at it.  (When do I not?)
Had some pretty legit text conversations.  Those were neat.
After work I came home and changed my shirt (and) jeans, then headed to Outback with Ma!
I randomly got a giftcard for 100 dollars to Outback from someone for graduation, so i decided I’d give it a whirl tonight. 
I got the potato soup and grilled Tilapia (with crawfish/shrimp on top!)  It was delicious.
I just love Outback’s bread too.  Yeah?  Agree?  Pumpernickle (sp?).  What a superb word.  On the real.

Tomorrow is another day of work 9-5.  Ordinary day at work you ask? OH NO! I’m the one getting my hair done tomorrow.  I’m excited.  I played around with the idea of going dark underneath and keeping the top blonde, but when it comes down to it.. I decided nay.  Keeping the same cut, per the ushe. (usual for you non-hip kids out there.)

Paolo Nutini just came on, on my iTunes shuffle.  Let’s celebrate!

Other Exciting Stuff

So I couldn’t possibly mix the two subjects of a new baby and a harcore day of Servolution. Therefore, I am posting for a second time today (two seconds apart from the previous post.)  Yay me!

TODAY WAS SERVOLUTION!
It was awesome.  There were so many lives touched, and it was incredible that I could be a part of something so great that went on in our community. 
We met at the Highland Campus at 8:30, and signed in and what not.  Around 9:00 we started a little bit of worship and praying before we all parted and went to our assigned areas to reach the people.
A bunch of different things were going on.  We had people doing water outreaches, free carwashes, cleaning the streets, knocking on doors to pray with people, mowing lawns, painting houses and SO much more.  There was serving going on like nobody’s business.  It was all done in God’s name, and Jesus was shown through so many people it was ridiculous.  I loved every second of it.

So with all of the hardcore things going on in my life, it’s left LITTLE time for sleep.  ‘Tis the reason I’m going to take the most ferocious nap of my life in just about 3 minutes.

Nice catching up.
I’ll work on the whole keeping you updated as it happens thing.

New Life

I’m way behind on posting.  What a shame.  Seriously.
I have a lot to talk about, but I’ll just hit the main points so I won’t be too much of a snooze.
First off.. I’M FINNALLY A LEGIT NANNY/GODMOTHER/WHAT HAVE YOU!
Brody Reed Babin was born on August 14th, 2008 at 10:30ish in the morning. (Althoughhh, we got to the hospital the night before at MIDNIGHT).. Yes, we were there for over 14 hours.  Followed by the whole being up for 50 hours thing.. I WENT TO WORK.  Am I insane?  I think so.  It was rough to say the least.

So here’ s a few pictures of the new little man in all his glory.

What a blessing a new life is, eh?

Unforgetable Moments

ATTN: When you watch the videos straight on my page, make sure you turn the volume up on the YouTube video itself.  I believe it automatically turns it all the way down!

Sorry for posting about JM again.  Well, not really. 
I just wanted to show you a few clips I found on YouTube that really show how spectacular the concert was. 

This would be my first screaming moment of the concert.  Don’t get me wrong.. Colbie Calliat was incredible, but I never felt compelled to scream.  That was, until John Mayer popped out of NOWHERE with his stunna shades and “I know I’m hott” attitude to sing Realize with her.  Pure bliss is what I like to call this.

So after he sang Wheel (turned into U2’s I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Lookin’ For) he gets all sentimental and talks about how the guitar he’s playing with is the axil to the wheel.  How cute, right?

And this is what I meant when I said he went back and forth from “Wheel” to “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Lookin’ For.”  Brilliant if you ask me.

Okay, so before he launches into what becomes the most amazing guitar solo one will ever see/hear, he’s singing Mercy.  Before he sings Mercy.. he starts off by showing us how he believes the heart of Houston beats.  The reason I love this clip is because I’m pretty positive he says “ya’ll.”  I may be wrong, but give me a northern boy who says “ya’ll” anyday. 

And that amazing.. no.. not amazing.. PERFECTLY BREATHTAKING guitar solo.. here it is.  Like a cheesy real estate agent: “THIS IS A MUST SEE!”

And this just shows how adorable he is.  I wish this person would’ve been filming 10 seconds before.  What happened was the part you see in the very begining of this clip.. he messed up on it at first.  He started it and then stopped and said “Let me try that again..” and then that’s where this video picks up.  Scared’a John Mayer jammin’ like a rockstar.

This is the “I don’t trust myself with loving you” intro.  I just like it because I thought it was funny when he sang the chords out loud.  You might not catch it, but he says “A A C C F Dminor”.. You might have to play the guitar to understand and get humor out of it.

And finnaly.. this is a clip from the Encore.  He starts out singing Sucker, stops and then sings Say, by request from a poster.  The ending is really my favorite part.  You get to see what a real guy he is as he gets into the crowd to say Thank You to people, up close and personal.  He then gets back on stage and starts singing a couple of autographs (and does the cutest little excited jig one’s ever seen).  What an awesome guy.

*Cool parts not shown here would be when he sang “I’m Gonna Find Another You”.. finished it then made the sound of something rewinding (which he did quite well), and then said “Rewind six months back..” and started playing “Stitched Up” which is about getting to know a girl and falling for her.  I thought that was so cornily cute :)
.. Another little thing that just made my heart melt would be when he was singing “Stitched Up” and she sang “I swear I saw her say my name..” and then in an extremely high pitched voice he said “JOHN MAYER!”  It was precious.  I think I posted about it a few posts back, and posted the link to a video of it.. so have at it.

The entire thing was just filled with little moments where he let us into a part of himself and how fruit he is.  I absolutely died over the entire thing.  It was magicallllllllll :) haha.  I’m such a nerd.  I love me.

And that’s a sequence of events that just put a huge smile on my face.  However, no video clips do any justice.  Thank you and have a swell day.

Oh.. PS…I’M GOING TO BE A PROPER NANNY ANY SECOND NOW!  Courtney’s in laborrrrrrrrrrrrr. Amen!
